Joan Baez Banned
The US Army blocked Baez from entertaining soldiers at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. The Army claims that she did not give enough time for clearance. John Mellecamp, who coordinated the event, says they gave no reason. He says, "We asked why and they said, 'She can't fit here, period.' " Is she being punished for her protesting ways that date back to the Vietnam war? (Source)
